Statement of Faith

1. Scripture
We believe that both the Old Testament and New Testament is given by inspiration of God. The Scripture is inspired in the sense that holy men of God were carried along by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture (2 Tim. 3: 16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2. The Godhead
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are one God, all having the essence and the same nature, perfection, and attributes, which are worthy of worship, obedience, and confidence (Gen. 1:26; Isa. 61:1; Matt. 28:19-20).

3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, to be the Savior of mankind. He shed His blood on the cross as a vicarious substitute, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Father according to the Holy Scripture (1 Cor. 15:3; Heb. 4:15).

4. Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the holy Trinity, eternal, and co-existent with both the Father and the Son.

5. Angels
We believe that there are angels and fallen angels created by God and they are innumerable. Those angels that are sinless are holy spiritual beings that worship the Creator and carried out His missions. We also believe that Satan (Lucifer) – highest in rank, was holy, but sinned through pride and became depraved. Satan has been judged and defeated at the cross and awaits his ultimate doom at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Ezek. 28:11-19; Rev. 20:10).

6. Man
We believe that man was created originally in the image and after the likeness of God, and that he fell through sin, and as the result of his sin, lost his spiritual life, becoming dead in trespasses and sin. This spiritual death has been transmitted to the entire human race, and man is not the result of evolution. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:10, 23).

7. Salvation
We believe that only through Jesus Christ can anyone see the Father. All those who in faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are given new life-spiritual life by the Holy Spirit. Salvation involves conviction, repentance, conversion, redemption, regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification (John 1:12; 3:3; Rom. 8:29-30; Eph. 2:8-9).

8. Creation
We believe that the holy Trinity created the universe apart from pre-existing materials and without any evolutionary process. We believe in the historical account given in Scripture concerning creation (Gen. 1:1; Matt. 19:4; Jn. 1:1-3; Col. 1:16-17).

9. The Priesthood Of The Believer
We believe in the priesthood of all believers so that every Christian has divine favor with God to enter His presence in prayer. We believe this privilege is the result of Christ’s death and resurrection – who is our High Priest, and mediator between God and man (Heb. 4:16; I Tim. 2:5).

10. The Christian Walk
We believe that sanctification – which is the setting apart unto God should be taking place in the heart of each believer. We believe t hat the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the holy Trinity is able to transform lives to reflect the glory of God. The Christian is called with a holy calling to walk after the Spirit and to live in the power of the Spirit of the indwelling Spirit that he/she will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Rom. 6:11-13; Eph. 4:22-24; Gal. 5:16-23).

11. The Great Commission
We believe that it is imperative for every believer to obey Christ’s commands by making disciples. We believe that the primary goal for a Child of God is to be a witness of Him to the unsaved world (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
