Meet Our Founder
Pastor Richelieu Reeves
Pastor Richelieu Reeves is the founder, President, and Liberian ministry leader of Grace & Truth Liberia Ministry, Inc. He is married to his wife, Princess, and they have two school‑age sons, Rich and Joel. The family lives in Paynesville, a suburb of Monrovia.
Deep Roots in Liberia
Born in Buchanan in Grand Bassa County, Richelieu is part of the Bassa ethnic group, one of Liberia’s oldest and most influential communities. His deep roots give him a unique understanding of the culture, language, and spiritual needs of the people he serves. Raised in a Christian home, he made a profession of faith and was baptized at ten years old—five years before Liberia’s civil war erupted.
A Journey of Faith
During the war, Richelieu fled Liberia and lived in a refugee camp in Ghana, where he met an American missionary who connected him with a sponsoring church in Georgia. Through their support, he came to the United States and enrolled at Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta. There he completed formal theological training, strengthened his commitment to sound doctrine, and was ordained for ministry.
After graduation, Richelieu returned to Liberia to pursue the work God had placed on his heart.
Faithful Through Hardship
Richelieu’s ministry is marked by humility, perseverance, and a deep passion for equipping church leaders throughout Liberia. His years of ministry have included significant hardship. He continued serving faithfully through the Ebola outbreak and regularly battles malaria and typhus—diseases that commonly afflict Liberians. Even when his family faces health challenges, his ministry continues.

Ministry Today
Today, Richelieu leads pastor training conferences, teaches Scripture with clarity, and provides ongoing discipleship to church leaders across the country. He regularly travels into villages to preach the Gospel, encourage believers, and support local churches. His leadership has been instrumental in establishing the Grace & Truth Liberia Training Center, where pastors gather to learn, grow, and strengthen their ministries.
He has formed an evangelism team that travels to remote areas to witness, teach, and lead people to Christ. He has also established teams that visit schools to teach the Gospel to students. Richelieu coordinates with American pastors who travel to Liberia to support and strengthen these efforts.
His Vision
Richelieu’s vision is simple and unwavering: to see Liberia grounded in biblical truth and strengthened by faithful pastors who can lead their churches with confidence and conviction.
His life, testimony, and ministry continue to inspire both Liberians and supporters in the United States.
